Newegg rosewill gaming keyboard
Pros: Makes a really nice sound while typing Different color settings are nice Sturdy construction. Pros: First of all I'm not a keyboard snob and I've owned a few mechanical ones.
I've been happy with all of them. Cherry, Roamer, and Kaihl. They all work well. The thing that sets this keyboard apart is the value. It is rigid, heavy, and well made. The downloadable software is easy to use and it gives me all the customization I require. Takes minimal desk space and it has media keys!
I have the brown switches and they are the better overall typing experience for multiple uses. Cons: I'm not impressed with the key caps, nothing wrong with their function but many of the secondary characters are simply printed on, not transparent to the lighting effects. I solved this by purchasing a set of double shot "Pudding key caps". Make sure you buy the piece key set which include the volume keys and cal. Overall Review: Would absolutely recommend Would buy again Gives me everything I need in a keyboard and I don't feel like I've been suckered by overpriced brand names Good work Rosewill!
Pros: Nice and heavy Well lit Very satisfying key presses along with easy to remove keys Tons of modes. Cons: Im not really sure id call this a con, because i could have just bought a different keyboard. But would have been nice to have a USB slot on it.
Overall Review: Great keyboard if you want something thats gonna light up your setup. I love the RGB colors of the keyboard. There is a boarder light ring that goes all the way around the entire keyboard too.
The keyboard lights even stay on when the computer is off. It is my first RGB keyboard so I can't compare it to any others.
I have not tried to change it to any modes as of yet as I am happy with it the way it comes out of the box. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. It is the heaviest keyboard I have had up until this point. As others have stated the wrist pad doesn't have anything to make it stay in place but it has not been a problem for me, but I do like the soft thick padding on it.
I bought the one with blues switches and it does have a fairly loud clicking sound and that is what I wanted, so that aspect of the key board I love very much.
You could not use it in a room where someone was trying to sleep because of the clicking noise. Before I bought this keyboard I didn't even know anything about blue, brown or green switches so I had to Google and do some research.
Do your research before you buy your keyboard. I read a lot of reviews of other keyboards before I bought this one and decided this would be the keyboard for me. Another point to consider is this board has metal in it which is going to make it sturdier in the long run and adds to the weight. I use this on a glass desk and it really stays where I place it. The pads on the back do a great job of keeping it where I want it.
I added 4 photos so you can see what it looks like on my desk. Pros: - RGBs are very easy to customize using the Engine Suite - Very high-quality materials - Looks very nice Colors aren't as faint as shown in my picture - Easy macro creation.
Pros: - Nice metal keyboard, not plastic. Great solid construction feel. Cons: - Keyboard a little smaller for my taste. I could not figure out to enlarge the interface, not sure if it is possible. This board has numerous RGB lighting commands. I would recommend this board for any one who likes RGB.

This appears to be due to the mechanism they used to equalize it. It doesn't distract during loud games or anything, but it does pop at you when you type in your quiet solitude.
It could likely be remedied by putting a small dab of grease on the tracks since they don't come in contact with the actual actuator. The longer keys like the shift and enter keys all have this mechanism, but it's not as loud, nor are they pressed nearly as often as the spacebar. The trade-off is you don't have to mess with some silly spring threading when you want to remove the longer keys for thorough cleaning. This isn't a con for me as I didn't use them that often on my old boards.
Also reduces the number of connectors dangling around. I wouldn't be ashamed to plug it into the front of my computer if needed. What's neat is that Caps key is now its own toggle light. Overall Review: Rosewill has thoroughly impressed me here. As far as endurance for the lights and keys, who knows? I've only had it for a day, but at this price, if I get 5 years out of it, I will feel pleasantly satisfied at its value.
This board has so much more at a lower cost. I'd be thrilled to see this one beat them for endurance. I thought it would have been cool if there was an interactive mode where every time you pressed a key it would change color so that your board would be an ever evolving candyland, or have it react to music, but all the stuff that's already here is great.
It's seen some abuse but all the keys and lights still work. Cons: The "custom" lighting profile isn't as customizable as I thought it would be. The lighting settings are limited to cycling across 2 colors OR the full color spectrum. It's really just nitpicking though, I'm still very satisfied with the options available.
Update: The keys have a mechanical "twang" if they're released or pressed too fast. After two weeks, the ringing doesn't seem like it's going to go away away. This is probably because of the metal top plate. Cons: software for rgb management is a bit flimsy, though it gets the job done without any hassle so its whatever.
Pros: Although only blue switch, It is a nice balance of too soft and too hard to press down the keys. Very unique lighting effects, Solid construction seems to be well made.
Overall Review: From now on i'm going to consider Rosewill products over razer when possible. Pros: - RGB has a lot of options and easily adjustable via keys. Cons: - keys stick. Overall Review: good budget keyboard with RGB features. Pros: Sets up easy, the software takes a bit to get used to slight learning curve - but once you do it's easy and works great.
I love the programmable keys options, I like creating different layouts for different software and games. Even the special effects are neat - but I'll never use them Cons: The only negatives are I'm not a fan of the characters displayed on the keyboard - nor ordinary.
Symbols a bit weird like the pound sign. Finally, I wish I could control the lighting effects a little more - example I set up a color coded layout of select keys - but they pulse I'd rather just have them stay lit. It's no big deal, just personal preference. Overall Review: The key clacking is loud but I knew that from the description.
Very responsive keyboard and with my limited use of only a week, seems very durable. This is the first keyboard I've purchased in over 20 years - my old one is a tank, but I wanted the customization The end result - you will be very happy with this keyboard if you want: - Programming of individual keys with several colors.
Pros: This keyboard is great Granted it is and feels click-ish. I love click-ish. It is a great sound and actually feels good when I type. I think it is a good thing since it is a mechanical keyboard :-P Lights are expressively great and so helpful in todays software and games, I find my productivity a tad better in max and maya.
It is great for games like Star Citizen that demands extensive use of the keyboard. The keyboard feels sturdy and 1 of the sturdiest I have ever felt and owned. The key lights are infinitely programmable for various programs.
Cons: The only downside I have for this keyboard is the font used for keys. I am old school and it takes me a few minutes to recognize every keys on the keyboard. Overall Review: I looked the market for this kind of mechanical and lite keyboard so I can work at night and during the day and feels good. I am glad I did not go with direct competitor and pay much more for likely comparable keyboard. Pros: - I got it in a package deal for For the fellow saying it's only red, hold FN and press page down, it cycles through the color options and an rgb breathing cycle -pretty solid metal build -foldable wristrest -fold out feet to raise it.
Overall Review: -keycaps are somewhat reflective this is a positive with backlight on, and neutral most of the time they are getting pretty smudgey from fingerprints though normal keycaps wear out in a different way -has a lot of function keys and some media keys, I could take them or leave them personally.
